Hi, I’m Iliomar!

I’m a Master’s student in Physics at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez, focused on High Energy Physics with the CMS Experiment and deep learning applications in HEP. I also enjoy astrophysics, particularly magnetars and Fast Radio Bursts. I love programming, understanding the theory behind what I build, and learning constantly as an autodidact.

What I do: I work on developing a full pipeline for Trigger Efficiency Modeling and Uncertainty estimation for Run 3 analysis. Another project in progress is the application of Machine Learning to for Data Quality Monitoring (ML4DQM) specifically NMF on 2D Tracking MEs.

Interests: End-to-End approaches (simulation → reconstruction → analysis), trigger efficiency modeling, anomaly detection & monitoring, and ML methods that behave in the real world.

Fun fact: I started as a geology major as an undergrad and somehow end up in Physics. (More personal stuff is in About.)
